Fast cars, bright lights and big parties are in store the weekend of March 1st through the 3rd. Every weekend in Las Vegas is sure to be a good time, but when the Pennzoil 400 Spring NASCAR event makes its way to our city, we can almost feel the adrenaline start pumping. Whether you’re a NASCAR enthusiast or are just here for the parties and food, this is one weekend you don’t want to miss.
If you’ve never heard of the event before, let us help you become familiar with the heart racing event that is the Pennzoil 400.
First off, this three-day event isn’t just one race, but three. Witness the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series all in one weekend with a weekend package ticket. Or, if you just want to stay for the day, you can purchase a single-day ticket. Guests will also bear witness to some of the great showdowns in sports racing history, NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and World of Outlaws at Las Vegas Dirt Track joining forces a few days before the event.
There’s no better venue for a weekend this exciting than the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS}. The space is home to many exciting tracks, including the Speedway, Drag Strip, Bullring, Dirt Track, Off Road Track, and more. There’s even a Go-Kart Track where hardcore go-kart racers go to compete. This isn’t your typical amusement park go-kart racing, either. The track features six different configurations and 11 turns, making it a different experience every time you visit.
The Pennzoil 400 is just one of the many events that LVMS hosts. This year, they’re hosting multiple Midnight Mayhem events, an Import Face Off, and loads of other events throughout the year. In fact, there’s something happening at the track nearly every weekend!
If you want to take your own path (literally), LVMS also offers a number of unique experiences for visitors, including getting behind the wheel of a race car, enjoying a VIP tour of the property, and racing an exotic sports car like a Lamborghini, Porsche, or Ferrari. You’re the driver of your own experience at LVMS.
You’ve heard of NFL Championship parties, NCAA Basketball Tournament parties, and parties for the many Vegas Golden Knights games throughout the season, but have you ever heard of a NASCAR party? When the Pennzoil 400 comes to town, there are tons of places to grab a drink, a bite to eat, and watch the action. Here are some of the best places to catch the big race:
The Draft Bar at the track is free for all ticket-holders and includes a view overlooking the speedway, an outdoor patio, and a fully stocked bar. Don’t miss a minute of the race with multiple TVS while you savor the lounge’s freshly-prepared food.
The Neon Garage is Pennzoil’s self-proclaimed “NASCAR Disneyland” and features specialty concessions, victory lane celebration, and more. Get access to the Neon Garage and a Pit Road Pass, which includes unprecedented access to NASCAR’s star drivers, for $99 for the weekend or $59 for a single day.
This unique lounge is, you guessed it, right on Turn 4 overlooking the speedway. Enjoy a Ferris Wheel, firepits, food trucks, live music, games, and drink specials during race weekend. Witness the race in a fun, festival-like atmosphere all weekend. All these parties, and more Pennzoil upgrades, can be found here.
D Bar is home to Downtown Las Vegas’ best frozen drinks and cocktails and is less than 20 minutes away from the Speedway. After you’re done enjoying all the festivities, head over to the D to party with our dancing dealers, grab a craft cocktail, and place some bets!
Speaking of downtown, while you’re in the area, make sure to check out the Fremont Street Experience, which is five blocks of live music, countless bars, and the world-famous Viva Vision light show. Viva Vision has the world’s largest video screen and a daily free light show choreographed to awesome music.
There’s always something happening in Las Vegas and the Pennzoil 400 is one of the most exciting NASCAR races to come to our city. Make sure you get your tickets to this incredible event and don’t forget to grab some drinks, see some live music, and dine in luxury while you’re here.
