Gearing Up for a Las Vegas Labor Day Weekend

Friends at Las Vegas Pool Party During Labor Day Weekend

Ready for an amazing summer holiday weekend? Las Vegas Labor Day Weekend is one of the biggest parties of the year as everybody wants to celebrate the final holiday of the summer in a big way. Embrace the crowd and be a part of one of the best weekends of the year! With Labor Day fast approaching, use these holiday weekend planning tips so you can go BIG in Vegas as the summer enters its final weeks. From hot pool parties to cool live music, see what to expect this Labor Day in Vegas.

What to Expect on Labor Day in Vegas

While you’re in Las Vegas for Labor Day Weekend, plan for a weekend of fun parties, large crowds, and some desert heat. In September, Vegas temperatures can still reach pretty high levels. Be sure to pack bathing suits and sunglasses, drink lots of water in between your cocktails, and slather on that sunscreen. It can be a bit of a downer when you’re stuck indoors dehydrated and sunburnt while your safety-savvy friends continue on with their fun.

Holiday weekends tend to be some of the busiest in the city, so be prepared for some longer lines and wait times, and potentially higher prices for things like rideshare surge pricing and cover fees for clubs. Try to stay with your group while you’re out and about, and always be sure that the people you came with know where you’re at or where you’re going. With so many visitors coming and going this Labor Day Weekend, the “buddy system” will come in handy.

Things to Do for Las Vegas Labor Day Weekend

Las Vegas Pools

What says summer more than a poolside hang? Not much! This Labor Day Weekend, Circa Stadium Swim® is the place to party, play, and lounge. Chill in one of the six pools for a view of the massive 40-foot tall high-definition screen. Reserve cabanas or day beds, or snag one of the comfortable chaise lounge chairs to lounge by the water and order off of the incredible poolside menu. You can even get Labor Day Weekend classics like hot dogs and sliders, which you’ll want to pair with a cocktail or two – we recommend the frozen drinks to beat the heat.

Even better, if you’re staying at the D, you get complimentary access to Stadium Swim, making your holiday weekend stay even better.

“Cookouts” Without Cooking

Speaking of food, Labor Day Weekend usually includes a cookout in someone’s backyard. While you might not have your grill on hand in Vegas, you’re not out of luck. Las Vegas is home to a number of amazing restaurants to help you get your summer holiday weekend cookout fix. Grab some hot dogs at American Coney Island, burgers at Victory Burger, Carolina-style barbecue at Project BBQ, and some classic sides like potato salad and coleslaw at Saginaw’s Delicatessen.

Want some drinks to go with the nosh? If you’re looking for a frozen drink that will keep you cool, head to D Bar on Fremont Street. Or, you can find beer and classic cocktails at places like BarCanada®, Vue Bar, and LONGBAR.

Live Music

Vegas is known for its entertainment, and some of the best names play on Labor Day Weekend. Looking for some incredible performances? Tickets might be harder to come by, but there will be some great performances around the city by Weezer, Counting Crows, Luke Bryan, Adele, Drake, and 21 Savage. If you can’t find tickets to those shows, then stop by Fremont Street! On September 2 at 9pm, Young the Giant will be hitting the stage at the FREE Downtown Rocks concert series for everyone to enjoy.

For those into the club scene, get your club outfits (which may or may not be a bathing suit depending on the venue), and check out big hip-hop and EDM names like Lil Jon, Bia, DJ Pauly D, Illenium, Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Diplo, DJ Snake, ZEDD, Kaskade, Timmy Trumpet, Alesso, Fisher, Dillon Francis, Marshmello, Gryffin, Nervo, Tiësto, RL Grime, and Rick Ross.
